Kara McQuaid MA, LPC, NCC

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and national certified counselor providing services for individuals and groups. I have experience in working with children 3 and up in clinical and educational settings. My specialties include providing crisis interventions to children, teens, and adults. I have gained experience in working with children and teens with behavioral issues related to trauma, depression, anxiety, divorce, grief, and adjustment disorders. I also am experienced in working with children and teens with dual diagnoses including Autism and ADHD.

I believe it is important for clients to feel comfortable, knowing that their voices are heard in order to gain a positive experience in therapy. I help my clients through strengths-based approaches by providing guidance in identifying goals that promote positive changes. I utilize a solution-focused, client-centered approach to collaboratively work with my clients while using play therapy techniques, mindfulness, and CBT.
