This group is designed for sensitive, empathetic tweens ages 10–14 who might feel overwhelmed by stress, loud environments, or the ups and downs of growing up. If your child is a deep thinker, a feeler, or someone who thrives in smaller, calmer spaces—this group was made for them.

Ocean Vibes is an 8-week group that meets once a week. That gives us time to build trust, dive into calming practices, and create a solid foundation of self-care tools your tween can carry with them well beyond the final session.

Absolutely. Group therapy and individual therapy can complement each other beautifully! If you're interested in individual support too, let us know during the consult—we’d be happy to help you explore both options.

This particular group is considered a supportive psychoeducational group, not a clinical therapy group—so it doesn’t meet the criteria most insurance companies require for reimbursement. Because of that, we can’t provide superbills or accept direct insurance billing for this offering.

The good news? We’ve priced the group affordably at $30 per session to keep it as accessible as possible for families—no surprise bills, no insurance headaches. You’re getting high-quality, clinician-led support in a small, intentional group at a rate that reflects both value and transparency.

Small and cozy! We cap the group to keep it intimate, supportive, and comfortable—usually around 6–8 tweens. This helps everyone feel safe to share and connect without feeling overwhelmed.

We get it—you're part of your child’s journey, too. Parents receive updates throughout the group series and we’re always here if you have questions or concerns. Plus, we offer optional parent check-ins to keep communication open and collaborative.

Each session blends mindfulness, gentle reflection, and fun, creative activities. Think art, breathing exercises, group discussions, journaling, and calming techniques—all structured in a way that feels safe, engaging, and age-appropriate.

Totally normal—and expected! Many of our participants start out feeling a little nervous. That’s why we keep the group small, calm, and pressure-free. Our facilitator is great at gently helping kids feel comfortable, included, and never forced to share before they’re ready. By week two, most kids are opening up and even looking forward to coming back.

That’s actually part of the magic. Everyone’s walking in as a stranger and walking out with new friendships and shared experiences. It’s a great way for tweens to connect with peers who “get it,” even if they’ve never met before.

Yes! While we keep the group space confidential to protect participants' privacy, we’ll check in with you at key points throughout the series and you’re always welcome to reach out. We also offer optional parent check-ins to talk through any questions or reflections along the way.

Because this is a closed group, we don’t accept new members after the group starts. This helps create consistency, trust, and a safe container where everyone can grow together. If you missed the start, don’t worry—we can add you to the interest list for the next round!

Just themselves! We provide all materials for activities. If your child has a favorite journal or fidget they love, they’re welcome to bring it along—but nothing is required.

That’s totally fine! Ocean Vibes works beautifully as a complement to individual therapy. If your child is already in treatment, this group can reinforce what they’re learning and offer an extra layer of support and connection.
