Mindfulness Teen Group

Adolescence can be a challenging time for a variety of reasons. There is often a commonality in the struggles teenagers face that we can address using mindfulness. According to Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn, “Mindfulness means paying attention in a particular way; On purpose, in the present moment, and nonjudgmentally.” With practice, people find that this helps them respond to difficulties in healthier, intentional ways. An internal awareness is created over time that allows us to be with ourselves and others with a gentle, open attitude.
