Some Feelings Are Too Big for Words. We Don't Have to Start There.

Your child comes home from school and slams the door. You ask what happened and get "nothing." You can see it in their body — the jaw, the shoulders, the way they can't sit still — but every question you ask makes the wall go up higher.

Maybe your teen is anxious in a way they can't explain. Maybe your child is having meltdowns that look like defiance from the outside and feel like drowning from the inside. Maybe your kid is neurodivergent and you've been told to "get them into therapy," but every therapist you've tried expected them to sit in a chair and talk about their feelings for fifty minutes — and that has never been how your child works.

I have spent my career with kids who don't come to therapy with the words already sorted out.

What Therapy Looks Like With Me

Together we find the language that actually fits — sometimes spoken, sometimes not.

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist, which means I don't rely on talking alone. Emotions live in the body long before they arrive in sentences. So depending on what a client needs and what they're comfortable with, a session might include movement, creative expression, mindfulness, grounding, or simply noticing where a feeling shows up physically. No dance experience is needed. This isn't a dance class. It's a way of getting to what's underneath when words aren't working yet.

Alongside that, I draw on DBT-informed skills — mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and navigating relationships — and my work is grounded in trauma-informed care as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. That means safety, choice, and collaboration come first, always. You set the pace.

My goal is never to teach a child to manage symptoms quietly. It's to help them feel more connected to themselves, more confident in their own skin, and equipped with tools that actually work outside of my office.

Why Kids and Teens Connect With Me

I meet kids where they are — not where a treatment manual says they should be. I'm creative, warm, and genuinely curious about how each person experiences the world, and I adapt everything to their communication style, sensory needs, interests, and strengths.

Neurodivergent kids and teens are close to my heart. I don't approach neurodivergence as something to be corrected. I approach it as a way of moving through the world that deserves to be understood, supported, and built around.

I also love working with families. When parents and caregivers understand what's happening for their child, change lasts longer and feels lighter for everyone.

Let's Find the Language That Fits

Your child doesn't have to be able to explain what's wrong before therapy can help. Neither do you.

If you've been looking for something that works differently — for a kid who has never fit the sit-and-talk model, or who needs a space built around how they actually experience the world — I would love to meet your family.
