You Can Love Your Kid and Still Feel Like You Are Getting It Wrong

Most parents I meet are doing far more than they give themselves credit for. They are also exhausted, second-guessing every decision, and quietly convinced that everyone else got a manual they never received.

Maybe your child's behavior has stopped responding to anything you try. Maybe a diagnosis just landed and you are not sure what it means for your family. Maybe you are three months postpartum and wondering why this does not feel the way you thought it would.

None of that means you are failing. It means you are in the hard part.

I work with children, teens, young adults, and the caregivers raising them. That includes families navigating developmental and behavioral challenges, kids who are anxious or dysregulated in ways that are hard to reach, parents deep in the daily grind of family conflict, and moms adjusting to motherhood in all its forms.

What Therapy With Me Feels Like

✔ We practice, not just talk. I want you leaving sessions with something you can actually use at bath time or in the car line. Skills only help if they hold up outside my office.

✔ Kids get to be kids. With younger clients I work through play, because that is how children process and communicate. It is not a warmup to the real work. It is the real work.

✔ You are part of it. I do my best work with families who are willing to be involved, try new things, and come back and tell me what did not go well. That honesty is where change lives.

✔ No judgment, and I mean it. I honor everyone's unique experiences and hold space without judgment. If it makes sense for you, it makes sense for me.

Live Coaching Through PCIT

For caregivers who want hands-on support in the moment, I offer Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, an evidence-based approach where I coach you in real time as you interact with your child.

Rather than describing a difficult moment to me a week after it happened, we work through it together as it unfolds. PCIT focuses on strengthening your relationship with your child while giving you concrete tools for challenging behavior: positive reinforcement, clear communication, consistent limits, and expectations that actually fit your child's developmental stage.

It is direct, it is practical, and for a lot of families it moves things faster than anything else I offer.

When Motherhood Is Harder Than Expected

I have extensive training and certification in perinatal mental health, and it is some of the work I care most about.

Pregnancy and postpartum can bring anxiety, grief, identity loss, and a version of yourself you do not recognize. Very few people say that out loud. If you are in it, you are not broken and you are not alone, and you do not have to wait until it gets worse to ask for help.

Why People Open Up With Me

I am a mom. I have spent years in early intervention and behavioral health, and I have sat on both sides of the developmental evaluation table.

I am compassionate, determined, and, according to most people who know me, pretty funny. Humor matters in this work. So does honesty. I will not pretend a hard week was fine, and I will not hand you a parenting philosophy that does not fit your actual family.

I believe therapy should be built around the person in front of me, not the other way around. The privilege of this job is helping people understand themselves better and respond differently.

Office Space
A Glimpse Behind the Scenes

Fuel of Choice: So much coffee, preferably iced. I also collect tumblers, which is either practical or a problem.
🎭 Yearly Tradition: NYC and Broadway. Sweeney Todd was a highlight.
🏃‍♀️ Something You Would Not Guess: I have run three marathons.
🎲 Family Ritual: Every night we ask our kids what the best part of their day was, and we bring board games out for dinner.
🦝 If Reincarnated: A raccoon. Smart, nocturnal, no responsibilities.

The Hardest Part Is Deciding to Begin

Therapy is not always easy, and we will not pretend otherwise. Some sessions will feel like relief and some will feel like effort. But you will not be doing it alone, and you will not be asked to move faster than you are ready to.
