Become comfortable with the uncomfortable

Attending therapy does not mean that you need to be fixed, people are not broken. Instead I recognize that you have been doing your best and want to learn new skills to meet your goals! Working together we will make insights and become comfortable in the uncomfortable when welcoming new changes.

Starting your therapy journey can be an exciting process, but also can feel overwhelming! I am so glad you are here and thank you for taking the first steps. Our sessions will be based on our therapeutic relationship that is focused on trust, acceptance for who we are, and balanced with changes you want to make.

In therapy trust is key, I always begin by getting to know you and giving you time to build your trust in me and in the process, because I want to earn your trust. I passionately believe that though I went to school for counseling, you are the expert on your life, so it requires us to work together and offer both our perspectives. When we work together I use an individualized style to improve mindfulness, emotional intelligence, and implementing coping skills to meet various goals and promote positive life changes. I hope to hear from you soon!
