Meet Your Supervisor, Shalyn Leigh LPC
As a clinical supervisor, I bring a person-centered and integrative approach to supervision, aiming to create a collaborative and supportive environment. I believe in meeting new counselors where they are in their professional journey, tailoring supervision to align with their developmental needs and unique paths to the counseling field. My goal is to foster open communication, offer constructive feedback, and provide encouragement to help new counselors build both their clinical skills and professional confidence.
In supervision, I balance the roles of teacher, counselor, and consultant, offering guidance that promotes growth while encouraging independence. Sessions are structured to reflect critically on clinical work, focusing on interventions, case conceptualizations, and practical skills. I also incorporate a curriculum that builds on the foundational knowledge gained in graduate training, ensuring new counselors feel prepared for independent practice.
My aim is to provide a safe and compassionate space where supervisees can develop confidence, refine their clinical techniques, and feel empowered as they grow into skilled, reflective practitioners. Supervision with me is a collaborative journey designed to nurture professional development and equip counselors with the tools they need to thrive in their careers.

✔ Practicum/Internship: Enrollment in a CACREP-accredited master’s program with a GPA of 3.5+
✔ Residency: Completion of a master’s degree in counseling or related field
✔ Availability for Spring 2026 placements and beyond
