The teacher helping my child through virtual learning and seeing my child be able to self-regulate and smile!

If you could have any pet you wanted, what would it be?
I want another draft horse! Black Percheron gelding!

What’s your favorite season and why?
Fall because it’s cozy! I like the cooler air (but still sunny and bright!), fall activities, and the energy!

How do you spend your time when you’re not working?
Horse time!

Are you an early bird or a night owl?
Currently, neither! But usually a night owl!

How do you prefer to start your day?
Being able to wake up slowly and have my coffee during this process. All in bed with the dogs.

What was your first job?
I worked at a boarding kennel in a veterinary practice.

What do you do to turn things around when you’re having a bad day?
Spend time outside, text a friend, try to practice grounding and mindfulness.

What’s one thing you’re learning right now and why is it important?
Recognizing when I am attempting to do too many things at once and drawing boundaries as I discover limits. But also accepting that seasons of life change (mine changes quickly often) and this means that other things may also need to shift and that is okay!

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Veterinarian

Are you a dog person or a cat person (or neither)?
Dog

If you could choose a superpower, what would it be?
help everyone that needs help all at once but it would be with mind superpowers and happen instantly!

If you could only eat one item for every meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Sushi

laundry (folding it and putting it away)

Marcy believes that therapeutic change has the best chance of occurring if certain conditions are present – empathy, unconditional positive regard, acceptance, and really just being there to support while our clients discover the strength they’ve always carried. Marcy provides this through person-centered therapy along with animal assisted therapy, play, and art therapy. She works with ages 3 and up.
